Teatro e Comunidade

Abstract

The praxis in Theater and Community operates and mobilizes different sciences and methodologies in transversal bias. Its movement seeks to contribute to social artistic projects that aggregate and mobilize phenomena that establish the understanding of frames of reference - aesthetic and community. These are based on the work of scenic and dramaturgical creation performed by a certain artistic and / or social community group and in a certain space that characterizes it. His methodologies have also been study subjects and ongoing academic practices of teacher training and theater professionals. In this article, practices developed at undergraduate level at the State University of Minas Gerais, Brazil, and at undergraduate and postgraduate level at the University of Évora, Portugal, where the choices of spaces (academic and territorial) contribute to the strengthening of scenarios regarding the aspects of collective memory as well as the social and cultural characteristics of the groups involved.
