98 p. In recent days there are lots of engineering applications, the design of armor system, highspeed transportation vehicles, aerospace industry, nuclear power plants and high-speed machinery, where materials are subjected to high strain loading. Therefore a comprehensive understanding of behaviour of materials under high strain rate loading is essential for efficient and safe use of materials in such engineering applications. The Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar (SHPB) or Kolsky's apparatus is one of the most widely used experimental techniques to study the dynamic behaviour of engineering materials at high strain rates up to 104per second. | selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
