Abstract

Na presente UD búscase a delimitación e descrición das clases de palabras da lingua española, mediante unha serie de criterios máis ou menos eficaces, priorizados e interrelacionados de maneira razoada e obxectiva: lóxico-semánticos, morfolóxicos, sintáctico-distribucionais e pragmáticos. A través da presentación e ulterior desenvolvemento de tales criterios chégase a romper con visións reducionistas, monolíticas e erróneas presentes sobre todo nas diferentes gramáticas de corte tradicional, pese a que, por motivos eminentemente didácticos, seguimos a utilizar moitos dos seus conceptos e, ante todo, o modo da presentación dos contidos (vid. contidos). Practicamente toda a UD 3 amosa evidencias de base científica da difícil diferenciación entre a unidade morfema e a unidade palabra (vid. UD 2) coa conseguinte necesidade de establecer tricotomías pesadas e paralizantes do tipo de: palabra ortográfica, palabra gramatical e palabra léxica, amén da obrigatoriedade de recorrer á presentación de unidades máis ou menos prototípicas en virtude dunha serie de propiedades esencialmente formais (morfolóxicas e sintácticas).
