Abstract

Existe literatura que investiga sobre a posible influencia do adestramento musical (AM) no desenvolvemento cognitivo do alumnado. Non obstante, apenas contamos con traballos científicos que condensen esta información e ofrezan un estudo específico exclusivo para a etapa de Educación Primaria, dende os 6 aos 12 anos. Así, o obxectivo deste traballo foi realizar unha revisión bibliográfica que nos permitise coñecer en que medida o exercicio musical pode potenciar as habilidades cognitivas. Polo tanto, levouse a cabo unha busca en cinco bases de datos, relacionando as palabras chave intelixencia musical, habilidade musical e adestramento musical con termos como cognición, programas, beneficios ou nenos. O número total de artigos obtidos superou os oito mil, procedendo así a un proceso de filtrado no que finalmente permaneceron once estudos que cumprían cos criterios de inclusión e exclusión. Os resultados finais evidencian unha relativa correlación entre a práctica musical e o desenvolvemento das habilidades cognitivas dos nenos, feito que nos debe alentar á hora de defender a inclusión do adestramento musical nas aulas do país, outorgándolle maior prioridade curricular
