Abstract

More than 150 articles attest to this in regional, national and even American newspapers and magazines, always focusing on relevant issues of the time. The subject-matter of his articles are always varied, making it clear that he is determined to champion the regenerational cause in Galicia similar to the one undertaken by Barbieri y Pedrell on the national scene. Among his most outstanding columns are those concerning the musical and stage arena in Ferrol: his documented reviews, coverage of musical competitions taking place in the region, those covering the figure of the Lugo composer Juan Montes or those dedicated to folklore and to the typical musical organography of Galicia Investigación realizada en el marco del I+D+i: Fondos documentales de música en los archivos civiles de Galicia (1875-1951): Ciudades del Eje Atlántico (REF: HAR2015-64024-R), proyecto financiado por el MINECO mediante una ayuda con Fondos FEDER de la Unión Europea
