Abstract

El juego de bolos constituye una de las prácticas lúdicas ancestrales más practicadas en el municipio coruñés de Boiro, donde sigue vigente gracias al apoyo del Servicio Municipal de Deportes y a la labor de los propios jugadores. El apoyo de los medios de comunicación es fundamental para dar a conocer e informar a la ciudadanía de la promoción del juego de bolos que se está realizando en la localidad. Empleando una metodología cualitativa, hacemos uso de la entrevista personal para conocer de mano de los técnicos de los medios de comunicación con mayor difusión en la localidad el tratamiento que se hace del juego de bolos en los medios y como éstos pueden colaborar en el proyecto de recuperación y promoción del juego de bolos en Boiro. Los resultados del estudio resaltan la escasez de noticias relacionadas con el juego de bolos a favor de otras relacionadas con los deportes de masas y con aquellos donde la competición regular ofrece un marco de generación constante de noticias de ser contadas por los medios
