A construção da cidadania indígena no Brasil e suas contribuições à Teoria Crítica Racial (The construction of indigenous citizenchip in Brazil and its contributions to Critical Race Theory)

Abstract

This paper presents a historical and anthropological reflection on the construction of indigenous citizenship in Brazil, tangled with the process of racialization and incorporation of differences into the nation, which continues as a structural feature of Brazilian society. The purpose was to suggest contributions to the racial discussion on matters such as nation, citizenship, and identity, based on the ongoing process of overcoming the integrationist paradigm and reinventing politics, led by collectives in movement.
