Proteção de equipamentos de telecomunicações

Abstract

In Portugal, every year, wild fire is a dramatic issue present in people’s mind. The destruction caused by this phenomenon brings panic and fear to people. The main objective of this work is to develop a thermal barrier (steel structures that is coverd with a mesh of fibre glass) that must protect the radio communications’ infrastructure when it is exposed to a wildfire in order to ensure the good woorking of the radios. This will allow people to ask for help during the wild fire and it will help the authorities that combat the wild fire planning their tatics and moves. Firstly, it was made a real study about the main problems that happened in radio communications’ infrastructure in two thousand an seventeen, in order to plan the next steps of the main work. After this first step accomplished, the study was divided in two next phases: the first one was the analysis, during two months, in real time of the temperature inside the radios' box, in Rio Vide's radios' station. The second one was the exposure of the radios' box and its protection to a wild fire, in order to realize how efficient is the projected protection. These experiences were all made at Lousã and it was also made in controlled environment. The variables in study were all very well defined. After the experiences , the results of both parts of the main study, were analysed to conclude if the protection was efficient or not. This study is supported by a protocol between ADAI (University of Coimbra), Telcabo and Vodafone.
