Dermatite Atópica. Complicações e Comorbilidades.

Abstract

In patients with atopic dermatitis (AD), a chronic inflammatory skin disease, we can find a series of changes associated with the dysfunction of the inate and adaptive immune system, including the imbalance and Th2/Th1 inflammation, which further disrupts the genetically deficient skin barrier. This condition can be related to skin infections, ophthalmic complications or sensitization to different contact and airborne allergens that can aggravate the course of the disease.Sequential progression, starting with AD, to food allergies, asthma and allergic rhinitis is a phenomenon often referred to as the “atopic march”, which leads us to think that these are closely related. Atopic comorbidities can lead to the worsening of the underlying AD, so it is important to recognize them and try to halt their natural evolution.AD is a highly itchy disease, which can have an impact on patients' quality of life and lead to psychological and / or psychiatric problems. In this review, reference will be review some of the complications and comorbidities of AD and how they should be recognized and prevented. .
