Abstract

Hypertension is a pathology with high prevalence worldwide and one of the main causes of death and early morbidity associated with a large variety of heart problems. The main problem of hypertension is the difficulty in adequately controlling the tension values of the patients. A small increase in blood pressure values may mean a higher probability of the occurrence of fatal events in the future. Several studies have associated the simultaneous use of some nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs with antihypertensive agents with increases of the blood pressure, potentially harmful for hypertensive patients. Thus, and given the high prevalence of simultaneous use of these two therapeutic groups, it makes sense to review the risks that may arise.
