Interoperabilidade BIM em projeto de Estruturas

Authors: Alves, João Pedro Correia;

Interoperabilidade BIM em projeto de Estruturas

Abstract

Nowadays, the application of the BIM methodology is increasingly becoming the mainstay of the AEC industry, however, there are still several areas with capacity for improvement, such as interoperability and modeling of reinforcement in the structures design.In order to improve the application of this methodology, this dissertation will address all the necessary course for the elaboration of a structures design in a BIM environment. It will be address the path from modeling, trough structural analysis and to scaling detail. The tasks, if they are predominant in the traditional structures design (analysis and dimensioning), aren’t exhaustively addressed in this dissertation.Throughout this course, this dissertation will focus on the evaluation and comparison of interoperability within the structures design, choosing the paths that are most noticeable in a BIM environment. The methods of modeling reinforcements in reinforced concrete structures will also be studied. This methodology will be tested in several software with different paths of interoperability based on two structural models.To facilitate the integration of the structures design in a BIM environment, a practical guide will also be elaborated, resulting from the study of this whole process, for the application of the methodology in question, showing the best solution in the obstacles usually found so that the learning curve is attenuated.Finally, this dissertation aims to help all the members in the AEC industry, particularly all those involved in structures designing, so that their productivity and competitiveness rates can increase exponentially
