Abstract

Achou-se em Santa Bárbara de Padrões, sítio que se identifica com a Arannis do chamado Itinerário de Antonino, o fundo fragmentado de um prato de terra sigillata. Ostenta o grafito Aprilis, sensivelmente a meia altura, riscado segurando-se o prato pelo pé, de modo que ficou invertido em relação à posição normal do recipiente. Aprilis é um genitivo de posse. Posse do próprio prato ou, mais verosimilmente, do lote de pratos de que este seria o primeiro, identificador do destinatário. Trata-se de um nome etimologicamente latino. Santa Bárbara de Padrões é freguesia do concelho de Castro Verde (distrito de Beja, Conventus Pacensis).
