Enxertos ósseos em implantologia

Abstract

Rehabilitation with endoosseous implants is a treatment with predictable results, but in many cases, the existing bone volume is not suitable for placement. In recent years, the number of bone graft on the market increased almost exponentially due not only, but also, to the disadvantages of using autografts. The aim of this work is to review the literature regarding the use of different materials to regenerate located bone defects according to different clinical procedures (rehabilitation of dehiscence and fenestrations, horizontal and vertical augmentation sinus lift.) We did not include in this review the preservation of extraction socket and the extensive reconstruction of the bone crest. It was also our intention to conduct a questionnaire to dentists to find out what the most frequently used grafts and the reasons of their choice. For logistic reasons, we did not get a minimum number of questionnaires that would allow us to prepare a statistical analysis. We will only do a critical evaluation of the results of the questionnaire and its possible use in future studies.
