Divindades indígenas peninsulares: problemas metodológicos do seu estudo

Abstract

Assinalam-se as questões inerentes ao estudo dos teónimos indígenas, ou seja, de raiz pré-romana, nomeadamente na Lusitânia e no que respeita à análise linguístico-etimológica tendente a esclarecer os atributos de cada uma dessas divindades. Citam-se os casos de Trebaruna e de Endovellicus como paradigmáticos, atendendo, inclusive, às variantes registadas na grafia das suas designações.

Trata-se da comunicação, apresentada sob o mesmo título, no Simpósio Internacional de Epigrafia Jurídica "La Tabula Siarensis y su contexto historico", celebrado na Facultad de Geografia e Historia, de Sevilha, de 6 a 10.05.1986. O volume foi editado sob orientação de GONZÁLEZ (Julián) e ARCE (Javier).
