Abstract

O estudo de um ex-voto de 1626, relacionado com uma lenda religiosa; a identificação de uma passagem da Arte Poética de Horácio desenhada numa tapeçaria; a placa de uma sacristia em que se transcreve a oração do sacerdote ao lavar das mãos antes da Missa; a reconstituição de uma passagem do Breviário romano num retábulo atribuído a João de Ruão (séc. XVI); e uma placa em cursivo referente a um antigo templo – constituem exemplos demonstrativos da interdisciplinaridade com que se prendem os estudos epigráficos e as inesperadas informações que podem fornecer. L'étude d'un ex-voto de 1626, rapporté avec une légende religieuse; l'identification d'un passage de l’Art Poétique d’Horace dessiné sur une tapisserie; la reconstitution d'un passage du Bréviaire romain sur un retable attribué à Jean de Rouen (XVIème siècle); la plaque d'une sacristie où se transcrit la prière du prêtre au lavage des mains avant la Messe; et une plaque en caractères cursives affichée au mur d’un ancien temple – constituent des exemples démonstratifs de l’interdisciplinarité des études épigraphiques et les inattendues informations que les inscriptions peuvent fournir.
