Abstract

The violent radicalization and terrorists acts are a current problem nowadays. These processes have been subjected to several studies and have originated several theoretical works, which try to understand how the radicalization process happens and how we can interfere with this process. This dissertation addresses several theoretical perspectives about counter-terrorism and tries to understand how organizational level of terrorism can be object of counter-terrorism strategies and measures. The development of effective counter-terrorism strategies and measures must be based on the comprehension of the violent radicalization process and of terrorism, therefore it is important to analyze if the practice is in line with the theory
