Identidade Visual do VRLab

Identidade Visual do VRLab

Abstract

The visual identity of a brand can be developed in countless ways. At times, the values and goals of a brand allow its identity to be created in a more experimental manner, shaping the public’s perception. With this in mind, this project consists of developing the visual identity for VRLab, a virtual reality laboratory based in the Department of Informatics Engineering at the Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Coimbra. VRLab aims to create a physical and virtual space where knowledge sharing is promoted in an accessible, engaging, and captivating way, while also providing up-to-date virtual reality equipment to offer experiences in this field.Given that VRLab is already an established space and entity with defined goals and values, the objective of this project was to develop a visual identity that accurately and fairly represents VRLab, ensuring a strong presence in the digital world, particularly onsocial media. Additionally, the project aimed to create the necessary materials to expand its ecosystem, such as banners and the refurbishment of the existing physical space, and to develop a redesign proposal for the laboratory’s website. This proposal will be developed with the new identity in mind, creating a seamless visual transition from the social media and physical content to the website. The creation of VRLab's visual identity will allow the laboratory to expand its digital presence, accompanied by a recognizable and cohesive visual language, applied to a wide selection of content that, together, shapes and defines the face of VRLab.
