Cinderella’s story has been told and retold countless times over the last two thousand years, traversing geographies and cultures. This led to the origin of innumerous versions of the tale, some very different from the now worldwide known story. In this dissertation, several versions of the tale gathered from illustrated books, television shows, movies, theater and ballet pieces, operas and other possible visual records will be analyzed, for the development of an interactive multimedia object that exposes the simultaneous visual narrative of the tale. Therefore, for the development of this present investigation, the analysis of themes such related to Transmedia Storytelling, simultaneity, visuality and interactivity of a narrative, as well as case studies relating to these themes, is resorted to. .

A história da Cinderela foi contada e recontada inúmeras vezes ao longo dos últimos dois mil anos, atravessando geografias e culturas. Isto levou à origem de inúmeras versões do conto, algumas muito diferentes da história hoje mundialmente conhecida. Esta investigação tem como objetivo disponibilizar várias versões do conto recolhidas em livros ilustrados, séries televisivas, filmes, peças de teatro e de ballet, óperas e outros possíveis registos visuais, através do desenvolvimento de um artefacto multimédia interativo que exponha a narrativa visual simultânea do conto. Para a realização do artefacto, recorre-se à análise de temas relacionados com a transmediação, simultaneidade, visualidade e interatividade de uma narrativa, bem como de casos de estudo associados a estes temas. .
