Acreditação de Laboratório para ensaio de Coletores Solares Térmicos

Abstract

This dissertation was performed with the main purpose of simplify the testing laboratory accreditation process, by analysing the particular case of the testing laboratory to thermal solar collectors, in the laboratory LSE from CTCV, whose process is being implemented. The NP EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005, concerning the accreditation of laboratories, was analysed covering the most important points for this laboratory, and leaving tips that can make this process along faster. The EN 12975-2:2006, concerning the certification of solar thermal collectors was also analysed, and some improving proposals were suggested for the reliability tests. These proposals could approximate the existent tests to the thermal and mechanical demands that the collectors are subjected during a life cycle. This approach will allow greater long-term credibility of the product by the consumer. Accreditation of testing laboratories is time consuming and expensive, but it carries promotional advantages and confidence in the product to be tested. The testing laboratories may participate actively in the development and improvement of relevant standards, by applying the existing tests with critical sense.
