Teoria critica e metafisica

Abstract

Non la fine della metafisica ma la sua trasformazione critica. Questo sembra essere l’esito del confronto della Scuola di Francoforte con la grande tradizione filosofica del passato. Il volume passa in rassegna le espressioni più significative che la “teoria critica” ha saputo produrre intorno al tema della metafisica a partire dai primi saggi degli anni trenta scritti da Horkheimer e Marcuse, passando attraverso la grande sfida adorniana di una salvazione della metafisica “nell’attimo della sua caduta”, fino alla più recente proposta habermasiana di un pensiero “post-metafisico”. Precede l’indagine un necessario confronto con la Fenomenologia dello spirito di Hegel, un pensatore che della Scuola di Francoforte e del suo controverso rapporto con la metafisica è il lontano ispiratore.
