Abstract

[EN ] Analysis of the results of GALICIA III survey are given. The survey was carried out on board R/V «Cornide de Saavedra» between the 1st and 29th of June, 1976. The main objective was to study the 21 more important commercial species in the demersal fishery off Galician coast. A total of 64 hauls were done, all during daylight, being the actual trawling time one hour. The continental shelf of the Galician coast was sampled, from 100 to 500 metres depth, and the stratified random method was used. Distribution and abundance of commercial species has been studied and in some cases length frecuency distribution is also given. The swept area method has been used to estimate recruitment for hake and blue whiting. A range of values of maximum sustainable yield has been obtained for hake, and the total mortality Z for the 0 age group of this species. [ES] Entre los días 1 y 29 de junio de 1976 se desarrolló la campaña GALICIA III, a bordo del B/O "Cornide de Saavedra", por la Sección de Pesquerías del Laboratorio de Vigo del Instituto de Investigaciones Pesqueras, como parte del programa «Investigaciones Pesqueras de la Plataforma Gallega» (IPPG). En esta campaña fueron realizadas un total de 64 pescas. El área investigada ha sido la plataforma continental gallega comprendida entre los 100 y los 500 metros de profundidad, desde el no Miño hasta Ribadeo. La zona muestreada ha sido dividida en cuatro estratos. En la figura 1 se indican estos estratos, numerados del 1 al 4, así como la posición de los puntos medios de cada pesca, numerándose éstas independientemente para cada estrato. En el cuadro 1 se detallan la situación media de las pescas, la biomasa obtenida en kg/milla de arrastre, la profundidad media, la hora inicial y final y la distancia recorrida en cada arrastre en millas.
