Abstract

[EN] According to previous papers, it was admited that in this fishery there are various natural productivity levels. Statistics used here were obtained from recent virtual population analysis. The productivity periods were determined from previous studies on the regressions of the catch per unit effort against effort. With annual class data for 1969-1977, a low natural productivity period, parameters of the Ricker curve have been estimated. In order to estimate parameters for 1962-1968 (a high natural productivity period), it has been supossed that the only parameter to be change was that one related to the density-dependent mortality, and the new curve was fitted to a middle point of the 1962-1968 annual classes. With these estimated parameters, average recruitments at different parental stock levels have been calculated. Finally, it is concluded that in 1981 the fishery was in a recruitment underfishing state
