Estado actual de los conocimientos paleontológicos y estratigráficos de los yacimientos aragonienses de Somosaguas (Pozuelo de Alarcón, Madrid)

Abstract

[ES] En este trabajo se describe el marco geológico y paleontológico de los yacimientos de Somosaguas dentro del Mioceno Medio, actualizando los datos obtenidos durante los seis últimos años de excavación. Estos nuevos datos permiten proponer una nueva interpretación paleoambiental, que presenta diferencias en las condiciones de humedad o aridez relativas del clima del Aragoniense de la Cuenca de Madrid respecto a las publicadas previamente. Se amplian los datos geológicos, paleontológicos y bioestratigráficos previos sobre los yacimientos de Somosaguas y se ha llevado a cabo una revisión de la información litoestratigráfica y paleontológica existente del Aragoniense Medio de la Cuenca de Madrid, en concreto del área de la ciudad de Madrid, integrando los datos de Somosaguas en los estudios previos con el objetivo de ampliar el conocimiento del marco paleoambiental para los yacimientos de este periodo. Una vez analizados los datos, se discuten las discrepancias encontradas en las interpretaciones paleoambientales en la Cuenca de Madrid en relación con la Cuenca de Calatayud-Daroca.va

[EN] In this paper we describe the geological and paleontological framework of Somosaguas sites from Middle Miocene of Madrid Basin, updating the data of the last six years of work in this site. These updated data allow us to propose a new paleoenvironmental interpretation, which exhibits differences in the Aragonian climatic relative humidity or aridity conditions in regards with the previously published. Previous data about Somosaguas sites are analysed thoroughly and the litostratigraphic and paleontological information from Middle Aragonian of Madrid Basin are revised in detail, Madrid city area in particular, with integration of information from Somosaguas sites in previous stratigraphic and paleontological studies. Our aim is to obtain a paleoenvironmental framework for the sites of this period. The different paleoenvironmental interpretations in Madrid Basin are discused, and in relation with the Calatayud-Daroca Basin.
