Influence of the fertigation on the soil nutrient content, plant development and crop(quality and quantity) of olive plants

Abstract

[EN]: The influence on the soil fertility, plant development and crop (quantity and quality) of olive plants (cv “Manzanillo de Sevilla”) of four fertigation treatments with a N-P-K (4:1:3) fertilizer, respectively equivalent to 0, 100, 200 and 400 g of N per tree and year, plus a N-additional application of 216 g per tree and year, due to irrigation water contamination was studied. Then the total N of each treatment was respectively 216, 316, 416 and 616 g per tree and year. There were no significant differences between the parameters considerated (plant development, production, oil quality, etc.). Then, at least during the years of experimentation the olive plant grew and produced well with the lowest nutrient concentration, resulting in a lower cost and soil contamination.
