[EN] This paper presents a synthesis of the relationships between climate and sea level changes based on the comparison of past and the present Holocene interglacial, particularly those found to be more similar in the orbital parameter curves. Our study includes data of changes in the concentration of CO2, and sea-surface temperatures in past and the present interglacials. A comparison of the possible causes of sea-level changes deduced for a given area from the observed record of the last 6,500 yr, and from geophysical charge models yields results that are often contradictory. Concerning the Iberian Peninsula, the available complete time series of instrumental records are inadequate to draw conclusions about the behaviour of sea level in the recent past and, still less, in the near future. Geological observations suggest different trends, very often opposing, between the northern and southern coasts of the Iberian Peninsula.
