Abstract

[ES] Treinta y seis corderos merinos (PV 14,2 ± 0,20 kg) fueron divididos en 4 grupos experimentales, cada uno de los cuales recibió a voluntad una ración de cebo diferente: un grupo recibió pienso compuesto concentrado y paja de cebada en comederos separados (Control); los otros tres grupos recibieron solo un pienso compuesto completo, que incluía paja de cebada en el gránulo a diferentes proporciones (5, 15 y 25%; grupos Paja05, Paja15 y Paja25, respectivamente). Los animales se sacrificaron cuando alcanzaron los 27 kg PV. El consumo de materia seca se incrementó (P0,05).

[EN] Thirty six merino lambs (body weight, BW,14.2 ± 0.20 kg) were allocated to 4 experimental groups receiving ad libitum different rations: one group received concentrate feed and barley straw in different troughs (Control). The other 3 groups received a total mixed ration (TMR), whose pellets included concentrate feed plus different proportions of barley straw: 5, 15 y 25% (groups Paja05, Paja15 y Paja25). The animals were slaughtered at 27 kg BW. Dry matter intake increased (P0.05).
