Empleo de aceite de linaza en la ración de ovejas churras: efecto sobre la producción de leche, el crecimiento y las características de la canal de los lechazos

Abstract

Twenty four Churra ewes were used to study the effects of supplementing diets with 3% of linseed oil on milk yield and composition and on growth and performance of their suckling lambs. The lambs were fed exclusively by suckling from their respective mothers and slaughtered when they reached 12 kg body weight. No changes were observed in milk yield and composition (P>0,05). Growth and carcass characteristics of suckling lambs were not affected (P>0,05) by supplementing the ewes with 3% of linseed oil.
