Abstract

En este trabajo hemos intentado mostrar cómo un modelo optimalista puede aplicarse a un estudio de la variación en la interlengua de hispanohablantes que están aprendiendo inglés. En concreto, nos hemos centrado en el fenómeno de epéntesis vocálica en inicio de sílaba ante secuencia s + consonante. Se ha aplicado el algoritmo del aprendizaje gradual de Boersma y Hayes (2001), siguiendo el modelo de variación de tres gramáticas de Cutillas (2004). En el análisis de los resultados, observamos que, para nuestras dos informantes, las restricciones de sus respectivas gramáticas presentan bandas de rigurosidad que se solapan, y se proponen algunas explicaciones para este hecho.DOI http://dx.doi.org/10.15304/verba.41.1045
