The excavation of Tornerias mosque has identified an important stratigraphic package associated with two circular structures. These structures are the northernmost found to date in the Carpetanian. Its discovery not only allows us to know the origin of the Carpetanian occupation of Toledo, but also its relationship with other similar structures present in the Iberian Peninsula. The large ceramic sample allows us to date back the background to the beginning of the full Carpetan phase, between the middle of the 5thcentury and the beginning of the 4thcentury BC. It makes it one of the oldest evidences of Carpetanian occupation of Toledo.
