Suelos de la depresión del Duero. II. Sobre sedimentos detríticos.

Abstract

[ENG]The soils on detritic sedilnents located between the mountains and the paramos zone, are of variable evolution and composition, this being mainly due to the nature of the sediment and to the climatic conditions. The analysis carried out leads to the following conclusions: The taxonomic units more common arc: Lixiviated brown earths, meridional brown earths, brown soils and red soils. In the soils situated townrds North of the Duero river illite and caolinite are predominant, and besides those in the South, montmorillonite is also common.
