Process for synthesizing a zeolite from combustion residues

Abstract

[EN] Process for synthesizing zeolites from combustion residues (flying ashes) which contain aluminosilicated phases and a grain size between 0.1 and 100 $g(m)m, comprising subjecting said residues to a hydrothermal treatment of alkaline activation in a reactor by using aqueous solutions of NaOH, KOH or mixtures thereof and thereafter irradiating the reaction mixture contained in the reactor with microwaves. The reaction takes place at a temperature comprised between 100 and 300 °C, a pressure corresponding to the pressure of the vapor generated and during a period of time comprised between 1 and 120 minutes until the final material containing the zeolite is obtained.
