The presence both of radiolarites, attributed to the Dogger-Malm, and grey marls from the early Late Eocene in the Intermediate Unit of the Haouz Mountains (Rifian Dorsal) indicates that the sea ocuupied the area at this times. These data modify previous palaeogeographical reconstructions.
