La mujer ha tenido y tiene graves condicionantes) externos e internos, para su desarrollo personal debido a su condición de ser procreador. La importancia de la población, de su número y características, es uno de los factores esen-ciales subyacentes al establecimiento de normas sociales, movimientos científico-sociales y actitudes personales referidas a la valoración de la mujer como ser social y como ser humano. De estos aspectos y de los diferentes movimientos sociales que buscaron de alguna manera el control de la natalidad, el control de la procreación y por ende de la población, trata este trabajo.
