Abstract

[EN] This paper is concerned with the finding of an immature female of the species Ancistroteuthis lichtensteini off the Galician coast (NW Spain). This is the first record of the species in European Atlantic waters, and extends its northern latitudinal distribution in the Atlantic Ocean. The geographical distribution of the species is discussed.

[ES] Esta nota informa del hallazgo de una hembra inmadura de Ancistroteuthis linchtensteini en la costa de Galicia (NW de España). Esto representa la primera cita de esta especie en el Atlántico Noreste, lo cual amplía su rango de distribución septentrional en el Atlántico. Se discute la distribución geográfica de esta especie.
