Consideraciones sobre la hidroquímica del acuífero de la Cubeta de Pulpi (Almería)

Abstract

Se estudian las principales características fisicoquímicas de las aguas subterráneas del acuífero de acuerdo con los datos obtenidos en diferentes puntos. Las aguas tienen un contenido salino elevado, con valores de conductividad comprendidos entre 2.500 y 4.500 micromhos/cm y son de facies sulfatada cálcico-sódica-magnésica. Se complementa el estudio con el análisis cluster y factorial de las variables y de las observaciones. El origen de los iones encontrados está relacionado con la presencia de rocas evaporíticas y silicatadas, con la existencia de posibles mineralizaciones y con la contaminación urbana y agrícola. El uso de las aguas del acuífero en regadío puede producir salinización y alcalinización del suelo. Las principales fuentes de contaminación son los residuos urbanos, líquidos y sólidos, y los producidos por la ganadería estabulada, y los fertilizantes usados en la agricultura; se encuentran concentraciones de ion nitrato superiores a 50 mg/l y de ion amonio mayores de 0,5 mg/l. La temperatura y composición química de las aguas indican que existe una anomalía térmica relacionada con la actividad tectónica del área.
