Abstract

[EN] Paracentrotus lividus is a grazer and acts incidental and simultaneously as a browser; it suffers depredation by star-fishes and decapod crustacean. The study of the intestinal contents of Paracentrotus is related with its etiology. Usually in the intertidal space it has not great migrations and it feeds mainly on seaweeds such as Cystoseira granulata C. Agardh, Laurencia pinnatifida Lamour, Ulva lactuca L. and several species of Enteromorpha which grow close to it in the small basins in wihich it lives. [...] Lythophyllum incrustans Foslie, Marthasterias glacialis L., Cancer pagurus L., Macropipus puber L. [...]
