By using the fractionation technique proposed by Chang and Jackson (1957), it has been done the fractionament of the inorganic phosphorus in several andosol of Canary Islands. The values for the different fractions --P-Ca, P-Al, P-Fe, P-occluded--, are analogous for soils of the same groups. The fractions P-Ca, P-Al and P-Fe decrease gradually with the sequence: Vitrandepts, Dystrandepts and Integrade Andosol-Brown Earths Oligotrophic, white the P-occluded increase according the same sequence. Whereas the porcentaje of each fractions with relation to inorganic phosphorus extracted by Chang-Jackson on respect to the total phosphorus, it can been seen better agreement among the soils of the same group. It has been given some correlations between the different fractions and other soil parameters: sand, organic matter, pH and ratio Al/Al + Si.
