El Pentateuco Políglota de Constantinopla, tanto para la tradición judía en la que se inserta como para la tradición cristiana, hasta bien entrado el s. XIX no pasó de ser un enigma al que aludían de pasada las bibliografías más avispadas de Judaica o como mucho una exótica curiosidad para bibliófilos. Los ejemplares que se conservan son tan raros que se pueden contar sin tedio las bibliotecas afortunadas que guardan este legado del judaísmo del s. XVI: Biblioteca Nacional de París, Seminario Israelita de Breslau, Biblioteca Pública de Ginebra, Parma, Oxford, Londres, Nueva York.
