[ES] Son muy escasas en esta isla las aguas subterráneas de capas o diques. Las reservas más importantes correspondena las aguas basales. Estas últimas se encuentran en general contaminadas por agua del mar, aunque el ión bicarbonato puede alcanzar valores elevados en la región occidental de la isla.

[EN] In this island the ground waters from the dike complex are very scrace. The main sources correspond to the basal deposits along the coasts. The basal waters, are somewhat contaminated by the sea water, although the bicarbonate ion can be found in high concentrations mainly in the western region.
