Authors: Olivera Serrano, César;

Abstract

[EN] Loans to the crown of Castile under the Trastámara dynasty (1369-1474): The author begins by pointing out that this subject is not well known due to the lack of specific studies. Next, a definition of loans is given to set the framework for the study. Reference is then made to the main documentary sources used (chronicles, court records and ordinances, and various documentary collections) and to recent bibliography concerning the kingdoms. These sources can be used as the starting point for a study of the loans to which the monarchs of the Trastámara dynasty frequently had recourse.
