[ES] La Cuenca Media del Guadiana ha sido el escenario de una intensa8cupación humana desde La etapa del Calcolítico hasta el periodo romano. Dicha ocupación se ha relacionado desde siempre con la explotación de sus fértiles vegas. Los estudios arqueobotánicos permiten corroborar esta hipótesis y ofrecer una imagen detallada y concreta del desarrollo agrícola y ganadero de estas poblaciones, así como de su capacidad para adaptarse a los cambios económicos y culturales producidos a lo largo de todo el 1 milenio BC.
[EN] The Middle Valley of Guadiana has been the scene of an intense human occupation from the Chalcolithic to the Roman period. This occupation has been related from always to the operation of its fertile valleys. Archaebotanical studies allow us to corroborate this hypothes; and to offeer a detailed image and makes specific of cattle and agricultura1 deveiopment of these populations as well as for theircapacity to adapt to the economic aud cultural changes produced throughout the 1 millenium BC.
