Abstract

[EN] A biochemical method for the determination of the scion—rootstock affinity or incompatibility in grape is described. With the application of this method it is possible to know "a priori” which rootstocks are compatible with a given scion. Total proteins, acid phosphatases, alkaline phosphatases and peroxidases of three Vitis vinifera cultivars (ALBARIÑO, CAIÑO, PALOMINO FINO) and six stocks (420—A, 41-B, 99-R, 110-R, 161-49, 196-17C) have been extracted and analysed by polyacrilamide gel electrophoresis. From the relative electrophoretic mobilities (REM) of total proteins, the affinity indexes between cultivars and stocks (Ki_p) and stocks and cultivars (Kp_i) combinations were calculated. With this results we can concluded that the cultivar ALBARIÑO should be compatible with the 110-R, 4l-B and 161-49 roots-stocks; CAIÑO with the 110-R, 41-B and 161-49, and PALOMINO FINO with 41-B. This results are in agreement with farmers' cultural practices.
