Abstract

[EN] At the Misión Biológica de Galicia (Pontevedra, Spain) there is a program of germplasm prospecting and maintenance involving several cultivated species including bean land races (Phaseolus spp). At present there are recorded more than 400 accessions from Northern Iberian Peninsula mostly of them having been collected through farmers. Evaluations of these bean land races began in 1987 in order to determinate which of them could be included in future improvement programs.
