Abstract

[EN] The stomach contents of 802 I. coindetii have been examined. Individuals measured from 4 to 20 cm of mantle length and the samples were taken in the Catalonian Sea Mediterranean during two years. [...] Ceratoscopelus maderensis, Maurolicus muelleri, Mictophum punctatum, Engraulis encrasicholus, Gadicus argenteus, Pasiphaea sivado, Pasiphaea multidentata, Meganyctiphanes norvegica, Studis sp., Notoscopelus elogantus, Lampanictus cocodrilus, Antonogadus megalokynodum, Micromisistius poutassou, Epigonus telescopus [...]

[ES] Se examinó el contenido estomacal de 802 ejemplares de Illex coindetii. El rango de tallas procesado se extendió de los 4 a los 25 cm de longitud dorsal del manto. El muestreo se realizó a lo largo de 2 años en el mar Catalán (Mediterráneo occidental). En el cuadro 1 se muestra la composición de las diferentes presas según la época del año. I. coindetii no busca sus presas en el fondo: su alimento se compone fundamentalmente de especies pelágicas y batipelágicas. [...]
