Abstract

The simple direct synthesis of Cu(ii) and Ag(i) salts and thiobenzoic acid under ambient conditions allows the preparation of two bidimensional coordination polymers [M(TB)]n (TB = thiobenzoate; M = Cu (1) or Ag (2)).
