Abstract

[EN] Thirty two Echinoderm's species were collected in seven dredgins and two commercial fishings trawl performed in the NW coast of Africa, completing the knowledge of the Echinoderms in this area; its biogeography related to hydrographical features of the zone is discussed. [...] Crinoidea, Antedon bifida, Leptometra celtica, Echinoidea, Dorocidaris papillana, Centrostephanus longispinus, Genocidaris maculata, Echinus melo, Echinocyamus pusillus, Spatangus purpureus, Echinocardium flavescens, Holothuroidea, Stichopus regalis, Cucumaria lactea, Cucumaria brunnea, Trachithyone elongata, Leptosynapta galliennei, Asteroidea, Astropecten irregularis f. typicus, Astropecten irregularis f. penthacanthus, Astropecten jarli, Tethyaster subinermis, Luidia ciliaris, Luidia aciculata, Luidia atlantidea, Chaetaster longipes, Asterina gibbosa, Ophiuroidea, Astropartux mediterraneus, Ophiomyxa pentagona. [ES] La costa noroccidental de Africa representa uno de los enclaves geográficos más interesantes para el estudio de la fauna bentónica y su distribución, puesto que en ella se encuentran las fronteras de diversas regiones faunísticas. Sin embargo, su conocimiento ofrece lagunas importantes en ciertos grupos, y sobre todo en el conocimiento de la fauna del Sahara -Río de Oro-, rideada de áreas mucho mejor conocidas, debido fundamentalmente a los estudios de la escuela francesa -Marruecos y Mauritania.
