Abstract

[EN] Elias Canetti’s autobiography trilogy ilustrates dic study of dic evoluting na!Tative forms in the XXth century. TEe structure of each volume fulfils different narrative requirernents which, at the same time, correspond to diverse ways of perceiving and understanding Ihe realiíy. The process of knowledge and maturity that articulates Canetti’s vital experience guides the election of one or another narrative model. The evolution from a mythic structure, dominated by an unique ordering principie —the narrative-I subject—, and disposed in a logical, temporal and spaciaí sequence, to a fragmentary structure, based on the yuxtaposition of independent elements and free from causal movement, expresses tIte intelectual and personal process livedltold by this author.
