[ES] La trilogía autobiográfica de Elias Canetti constituye un ejemplo privilegiado para el estudio de la evolución de las formas narrativas en el siglo xx. La estructura de cada uno de los volúmenes responde a diferentes necesidades narrativas que, al mismo tiempo, remiten a diversas formas de percibir y entender la realidad. El proceso de aprendizaje y maduración que articula la experiencia vital de Canetti guía la elección de uno u otro modelo narrativo. La evolución desde una estructura mítica, dominada por un principio de ordenación marcado por un único sujeto —yo-narrativo—, y dispuesta en una succsión lógica, temporal y espacial, hasta una estructura fragmentaria, basada en la yuxtaposicion de elementos independientes y carente de un movimiento causal, expresa el proceso intelectual y personal vivido/narrado por este autor.
[EN] Elias Canetti’s autobiography trilogy ilustrates dic study of dic evoluting na!Tative forms in the XXth century. TEe structure of each volume fulfils different narrative requirernents which, at the same time, correspond to diverse ways of perceiving and understanding Ihe realiíy. The process of knowledge and maturity that articulates Canetti’s vital experience guides the election of one or another narrative model. The evolution from a mythic structure, dominated by an unique ordering principie —the narrative-I subject—, and disposed in a logical, temporal and spaciaí sequence, to a fragmentary structure, based on the yuxtaposition of independent elements and free from causal movement, expresses tIte intelectual and personal process livedltold by this author.
