Abstract

[EN] Chemical composition, In vitro digestibility and In situ degradability of grape pomace in sheep were studied in this work. Fiber and ether extract content were higher (P < 0.001) and In vitro digestibility and crude protein content were lower (P < 0.01) in seeds than in pulps-skins. However, ruminal crude protein degradability were lower in pulps-skins than in seeds (P < 0.05), probabibly due to the higher content of crude protein bound to acid detergent fiber fraction. The nutritive value of grape pomace as a feed for ruminant diets is limited, however grape pomace could be interesting by their bioactive compounds.
