Observaciones sobre la alimentación de Liocarcinus depurator (L.) (Brachyura: Portunidae) en el Mar Catalán

Abstract

[ES] Se ha examinado el contenido estomacal de 238 ejemplares del braquiuro Liocarcinus depurator. Los crustaceos, decapodos principalmente, constituyen el principal alimento, seguidos de peces osceictios de pequeno tamano y de cefalopodos. Asimismo se ha determinado el grado de replecion estomacal y el estado de muda a un total de 2128 ejemplares a lo largo de un ciclo anual, observandose un cese en la alimentacion en los estados de premuda2014 e inmediata postmuda. Se han detectado diferencias estacionales en la alimentacion relacionadas con la disponibilidad ambiental de los tipos de alimento. No se han detectado diferencias entre los sexos. L. depurator se comporta principalmente como un depredador activo
