In the northwest of the province of Burgos, near the border with Cantabria, the health resort of Corconte is located. It is the only remaining active health resort from the ones that historically existed in our environment. The discovery of tho dossiers about the sale of municipal buildings as a consequence of the expropriation sponsored by Madoz in 1855, lets us delve into the situation of the mineral medicinal waters health resort of Corconte during the first stages of this therapeutic usage.

Al noroeste de la provincia de Burgos, en el límite con Cantabria, se encuentra el balneario de Corconte, el único que sigue en activo de los que históricamente existieron en nuestro medio. El hallazgo de dos expedientes sobre la venta de bienes municipales como consecuencia de la desamortización promovida por Pascual Madoz en 1855, nos permite profundizar en la situación del manantial de aguas minero-medicinales de Corconte en la primera etapa de su utilización terapéutica.
